The experience presented here was developed during four consecutive academic periods (semesters), ending in the first half of 2024, at the educational institution Bello Horizonte, located in the neighborhood of the same name in the northwest area of Valledupar, in the department of Cesar, Colombia. The neighborhood where the school is located, as well as those surrounding it, originated as informal settlements, and its urban development has progressed at a slower pace compared to other sectors of the city. There are still three informal settlements near the school, all of which have been established within the last ten years. The work focused on first-grade elementary school students, a group known for its energy and natural curiosity. In this specific case, the students also presented particular challenges related to disruptive behaviors, which created an ideal scenario to explore the potential of ICTs as pedagogical intervention tools.
