The conscious business movement seeks to transform how companies operate by promoting ethical, sustainable principles centered on social well-being. However, it faces criticisms suggesting it may be mere greenwashing, distract from fundamental economic issues, or be difficult to genuinely implement. Organizations may encounter resistance to change due to organizational culture, self-interest, and a lack of understanding regarding the necessity of a more conscious model. To address these challenges, it is essential to promote education, establish clear criteria for suppliers, and utilize recognized indicators such as the GRI to measure impact. As consumers demand greater transparency and accountability, the future of conscious businesses is defined by the ability to create meaningful and sustainable change. Companies must integrate sustainability into their business models, and all stakeholders must act: business leaders, consumers, educators, and legislators. There is an expectation for increased integration of sustainability, circular economy models, radical transparency, and conscious leadership. This shift requires commitment and collective action to build a business world that benefits both people and the planet.
