Planning of projects in sustainable construction of buildings in Colombia

Construction requires large amounts of raw materials, energy, fuels, essential for the processing and manufacturing of products used in civil works construction processes, in addition, anthropic activities impact the habitat per se, altering the biotic environment and abiotic, [1], with these considerations, the proposal of sustainable or ecological construction, merely understood as the rational and efficient use of the resources involved, incorporating them into the planning of the management of green building construction projects, through the establishment of administrative and environmental technical controls such as designs, use of land, energy, water, solid waste and recycling; based on, business awareness or corporate sustainability, through policies related to long-term economic, social, environmental and ethical aspects, allowing to control and minimize negative impacts derived from the intervention of construction processes.

Therefore, from the environmental point of view of Green Project Management, focused on sustainability, in how companies decide and manage their projects, the challenge consists of integrating sustainability in business development.

Finally, the objectives of the management of green projects, their achievement will depend exclusively on the rethinking, redesign and adjustment of practices such as business policies that support their linking and implementation.
