Public Health, Epidemiology, and Dental Biomaterials: Information Technologies in Depression and Dental Crown Resistance
Public health and dentistry have found in technological innovation a key tool to improve the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of various pathologies. In the field of mental health, information and communication technologies (ICTs) have proven useful in the early detection of depression associated with substance abuse, facilitating access to evaluation and monitoring tools for vulnerable populations. In dentistry, the introduction of CAD-CAM technology has enabled the fabrication of dental crowns with greater precision and fracture resistance compared to conventional methods. This paper explores the impact of ICTs on depression screening and compares the fracture resistance of dental crowns manufactured using CAD-CAM technology and traditional analog methods.
