The increasing deterioration of air quality in Bogotá has been identified by the authorities as a public health problem; despite the strategies implemented to mitigate it, the city is experiencing accelerated population and economic growth, which involves increased air pollution. In Bogota, multiple studies, analyses and observations have been conducted to monitor air quality. The District Environmental Secretariat has created the Bogotá Air Quality Monitoring Network - RMCAB, a network consisting of a series of fixed and mobile monitoring stations, which take measurements that are reported to the public. Considering the above, this document will present an initial phase in which a qualitative analysis of the existing systems for measuring air quality in Bogota and some in other areas will be presented, with the aim of condensing the state of the art to facilitate the design of the proposed research project, consisting of the simulation of a data transmission system for air quality information. This analysis is also intended to be a tool for other researchers in the field.
