The 5th International Virtual Symposium of Philosophy and Education was held in Neiva-Huila (Colombia) on October 4 and 5, 2024, which from its very beginning does not distance itself from the fundamental categories: Philosophy and education that characterize the line of research of the School of Educational Sciences of the UNAD and that is embraced in the bachelor's degree program in Philosophy. For the year 2024, the central theme of the symposium was as follows: Philosophy and Education as transformative agents and product of change in the territory. The 5th International Virtual Symposium of Philosophy and Education of the UNAD in its journey since 2020 is established as a benchmark for Latin American for dialog and the exchange of ideas, featuring high-quality presentations that support the development and construction of networks and bonds of collaboration and friendship around the philosophy and education that unites us in the substantive work, without losing sight of its essential role in the teaching of philosophy and education that guides its reflective, analytical, critical and normative dynamics.
