This article synthesizes the contribution of systematic review methodologies and bibliometric analysis in the health field. Three studies are presented that address the pathophysiology of dyslipidemia, the management of acute abdomen in pediatrics, and the analysis of the metabolome in breast milk of healthy mothers and mothers with gestational diabetes. The integration of these methodologies allows us to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for future research to optimize clinical practice (1-24).
