This article explores how the integration of historical analysis and biotechnological technologies can offer sustainable solutions for environmental remediation. Studies analyzing the historical transformation of the Middle-Upper Atrato River Basin, the impact of the pandemic on air quality, and the application of mathematical models for the bioreduction of Cr(VI) in wastewater are examined. The results highlight the relevance of understanding the past and applying innovations to design effective strategies against pollution (1-24).
