This paper examines how epidemiological modeling and preventive interventions can optimize the response to infectious diseases. Recent studies analyzing the evolution of COVID-19 in Colombia, adherence to tuberculosis treatment in migrant populations, and the evaluation of educational strategies for health personnel are discussed. The integration of these approaches makes it possible to identify patterns of spread, adjust therapeutic protocols and design early interventions, improving the response capacity of public health systems (1-22).
