Innovaciones, Epidemiología y Determinantes Sociales en Salud: Un Análisis Integrado
This working paper synthesizes and brings together findings from several recent studies that address three cross-cutting areas and is intended to serve as a basis for future research that integrates technological advances with prevention strategies and considers the role of social determinants in health, thus promoting an interdisciplinary approach capable of meeting contemporary public health challenges (1-19):
1. Infectious and Zoonotic Diseases: Studies on detection, epidemiology and preventive strategies in both human and animal contexts.
2. Diagnostic and Therapeutic Innovations: Technological and methodological advances that optimize diagnosis and treatment in chronic and acute diseases.
3. Social Determinants and Psychosocial Factors in Public Health: Research that evidences the influence of socioeconomic, psychosocial and behavioral aspects on adherence to treatment, prevention and quality of life.
Synergies between the application of innovative technologies and the need for interventions that consider both biological and social determinants of health are discussed.
