EDUCATIONAL INTERVENTION IN SELF-CARE, ACTIVE BREAKS, AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY WITH VENDORS AT THE CALIXTO NEIGHBORHOOD MARKET SQUARE IN THE CITY OF NEIVA, HUILA
This document presents the community action applied with the vendors at the Calixto neighborhood Market Square, as a result of the prior participatory diagnosis, which identified needs related to self-care, active breaks, and physical activity. The intervention is framed within the CIPAS Territorial strategy, with the aim of strengthening workers' knowledge, attitudes, and practices regarding the prevention of occupational diseases and the promotion of physical well-being. Educational training sessions, practical activities, and stretching routines adapted to the work environment were implemented. The results showed good acceptance and participation from the community, as well as an increase in knowledge about healthy habits. The experience demonstrates the power of community and dialogue as tools to transform work realities. The authors of this activity demonstrated that, with proper guidance, it is possible to build healthier and more sustainable environments through collective efforts.
