ORGANIZATIONAL TRUST: A THEORETICAL REVIEW
In today's organizational landscape, trust plays a pivotal role in business dynamics. The daily challenges companies face to achieve the expected results require an engaged and committed team with a deep sense of belonging, willing to cooperate in achieving those results.
Organizational trust is a highly relevant factor in today’s organizations, regarded as an intangible asset that drives collaborative work, fosters a positive organizational climate, and contributes to the achievement of results.
Organizational trust encompasses both interpersonal trust and relationship-based trust.
In the academic field, there are still gaps in the understanding of this topic, which motivates the researchers to explore the following question: What are the main theoretical proposals on organizational trust?
The method used for this research was based on bibliometric and content analysis of the literature on organizational trust. The bibliographic data was obtained from the Scopus database, which is the largest database of peer-reviewed literature abstracts and high-quality sources available on the web (Cañedo, Rodríguez & Montejo, 2010).
