CONTRIBUTION OF THE TOURIST SECTOR TO THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF PUERTO COLOMBIA – ATLANTICO

The financial analysis carried out on the tourism sector of the beaches of Puerto Colombia Atlántico and the behavior it leaves in the economy of the Municipality aims to examine in depth the economic health and financial performance of companies and tourist destinations in a specific region. Through this analysis, we seek to understand how financial and economic variables affect and are affected by the tourism sector, in order to identify trends, challenges and opportunities for sustainable growth and optimization of results in this important sector. To achieve this purpose, the following general objective has been formulated: Carry out a financial analysis on the economic behavior of the tourism sector on the beaches of the Municipality of Puerto Colombia Atlántico and for this purpose authors of the stature of Bejarano, (2014), Horngren, (2007), McWilliams & Siegel, (2001), Mazaro & Varzin, (2008) and Fridson, (2000). The methodology of the project will be descriptive with a qualitative approach, with a non-experimental design, information collection instruments will be applied to the primary sources of the tourism sector in the tourist trade of the beaches of the Municipality of Puerto Colombia.
