This article analyzes the impact of emerging technologies on the creation and development of new business models, emphasizing the transition toward models characterized by digitalization. In a highly dynamic global context, it argues that incorporating a digital mindset from the outset is no longer a competitive advantage but a necessary condition for companies to achieve long-term sustainability and success.

The research focuses on the Eastern Antioquia region in Colombia, an area that has become an attractive environment for technology-based entrepreneurship due to recent infrastructure development and the consolidation of an innovation ecosystem. Through a trend analysis approach, the study examines how disruptive tools such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Blockchain, and the Internet of Things (IoT), among others, are transforming the operational and strategic models of organizations.

The findings indicate that the adoption of these technologies significantly improves organizational processes, enables a high level of personalization in the customer purchasing experience, and facilitates access to global markets by overcoming geographical barriers through digitalization. Finally, the study highlights the importance of responsiveness and efficiency among new entrepreneurs, as these capabilities allow them to capitalize on opportunities offered by the digital economy, such as reducing operational costs and maintaining flexibility and agility in response to changes in today’s market.
