This article analyzes the relationship between female leadership and organizational sustainability performance, with the aim of identifying the factors that facilitate the transition toward more resilient and inclusive business models. In a global context marked by increasing social and environmental demands, the study focuses on understanding how women’s participation in leadership positions influences the adoption of sustainable practices and the generation of long-term value within organizations.

Regarding the methodology, to support the research hypothesis, a documentary analysis based on empirical studies addressing the proposed topic was conducted. Through a systematic literature review, relevant academic sources were selected, focusing on the intersection between female leadership and sustainable development, prioritizing recent and high-impact research in the organizational field.

The results show that women’s participation in managerial positions is associated with higher levels of adoption of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria, as well as with the promotion of organizational climates characterized by empathy, collaboration, and employee well-being. These elements positively influence the strengthening of human capital, the improvement of organizational performance, and the generation of sustainable competitive advantages over time.

Consequently, it is concluded that the incorporation of a gender perspective, together with structural empowerment mechanisms and inclusive policies, constitutes a key catalyst for sustainable innovation and the development of more equitable and adaptive organizations in the face of contemporary challenges.
