Second Latin American virtual congress on technology-mediated training of psychologists
The Proceedings of the Second Latin American Virtual Congress on Technology-mediated Training of Psychologists bring together presentations and reflections aimed at discussing the place of ethics in the professional education of psychologists in distance modalities supported by ICT. The event was organized by founding institutions of RELEPSAD, including UNAD, UNAM-FES Iztacala and UAP, and took place on September 6 and 7, 2019 (publication in 2023).
The document starts from a clear diagnosis: although technology-mediated education is a consolidated trend, academic discussion on the specific ethical issues of this modality in psychology is still limited, which makes it necessary to promote spaces for reflection and debate with a disciplinary focus.
Consistent with this purpose, the proceedings are organized around thematic axes related to ethics and deontology in different areas of psychology: research, clinical assessment and intervention, psychosocial assessment and intervention, teaching and professional education, including specifically ICT-mediated education.
As a whole, the text functions as an academic memory and as an input to strengthen criteria for responsible action and ethical education in psychology programs that use technological mediations
