The Universidad Nacional Abierta y a Distancia is proud to present the proceedings of the Second International Congress on Physics Research and Teaching, organized by the School of Basic Sciences, Technologies and Engineering (ECBTI). This event of worldwide relevance was held from October 25 to 27, 2023, consolidating itself as a privileged space for the convergence of outstanding professionals and academics from different corners of the planet.

Under the slogan "Physics: Engine of Innovation in the Energy Transition," the congress addressed crucial issues challenging and shaping the future of physics and its influence on the transition to more sustainable and innovative energy sources. The commitment to academic and scientific excellence was evident throughout the various activities that made up the event's program.

The hybrid modality allowed the active participation of speakers and attendees, both virtually and in person, with a coverage that extended to Colombia, Mexico and other parts of the world. Adaptability and accessibility were key elements in enabling virtual presentations and online poster sessions, ensuring global participation in this knowledge exchange.
