2nd International Congress "Experience the sustainable city! Through the lenses of gender mainstreaming
This report compiles the contributions of the 2nd International Congress "Experience the sustainable city!", through the lenses of gender mainstreaming (2023), conceived as an academic space for dialog between institutions of higher education, secondary education, environmental authorities and the business sector, aimed at making visible actions, experiences and initiatives associated with the management of sustainability, with emphasis on its articulation with gender mainstreaming and related public policies.
The document organizes content to review institutional approaches and practices related to sustainability and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), incorporating experiences presented by universities such as UNAD and other participating HEIs, as well as lessons learned from their environmental management and response to government guidelines. It also integrates contributions from international speakers and stories of experiences in different countries, to contrast perspectives on SDGs, environmental management and building environmentally sustainable cities.
The thematic structure is deployed in symposia that address, among other axes, entrepreneurship and sustainability, eco-innovation (infrastructure, products and services), gender mainstreaming, mobility as an engine of transformation, conscious consumption from the countryside to the city and sustainability management models from education and research.
