Furthermore, the event highlighted innovative approaches and demonstrated the impact of the research presented in the environmental sector through the evaluation and application of methodologies for climate change mitigation, the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity, and alternative strategies for energy production and the strengthening of productive systems. The conference also adopted a social perspective aimed at addressing regional challenges that affect agricultural development, particularly those related to food security and sustainable alternatives for local communities.

Regarding the 3rd International Conference on Agricultural and Environmental Sciences:  Climate Change and Sustainable Agricultural Production (CICAA 2021), it addressed the social, economic, and productive challenges facing the agricultural sector. The event also reflected UNAD’s institutional commitment to working collaboratively with communities to support the resolution of regional problems and to stimulate the capacity to generate, improve, and sustain productive and cultural systems in balance between the use of natural resources and the protection of the environment.
Likewise, the conference provided an opportunity to highlight the work carried out by researchers, students, and alumni in agricultural production systems aimed at strengthening regional development.
