The proceedings of the First Colombian Mycology Congress bring together the academic, scientific and applied contributions presented at the event held in Colombia in 2022, aimed at analyzing the role of mycology in the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals. The document compiles keynote lectures, symposia, oral presentations and poster papers that address, from an interdisciplinary approach, topics related to fungal diversity and conservation, clinical and medical mycology, fungal biotechnology, fungus-plant interaction, ecology and metagenomics, ethnomycology, edible and medicinal mushrooms, as well as their application in the agricultural, environmental, industrial and health sectors. Overall, the volume constitutes an academic reference for the dissemination and strengthening of mycological knowledge in Colombia and Latin America.
