EXPOTECH 2021 Science, engineering and society

The EXPOTECH 2021 proceedings bring together academic contributions and applied developments presented in an interdisciplinary scenario aimed at the articulation between science, engineering and society, with emphasis on technological innovation as a factor for competitiveness and productivity. The event brought together researchers, teachers, students and professionals from different areas, who shared research results, technological developments, prototypes and experiences applied in productive, educational and social contexts. The contributions are organized into three thematic axes: industry 4.0 in value networks, industrial, social and sustainable responsibility, and innovative technologies and tools in education. The papers address issues and solutions related to the Internet of things, artificial intelligence, robotics, blockchain, information security, agribusiness, renewable energy, biotechnology, business management, sustainability and education mediated by digital technologies. Methodologically, the document includes case studies, experimental developments, functional prototypes, review of the state of the art and technological innovation proposals aimed at knowledge transfer and the solution of real needs in different sectors.
