The Jawa app project began with the study and problematization of the notion of public art in Colombia. Based on this notion, theoretical approaches and studies of practice were developed to reach agreements and delimitations about the research approach. Subsequently, we proposed the design of an application for mobile devices that would serve as a support and basis for the registration of artistic practices found in the cities that fall within the category of public art. Starting with the design of the application, the objective of the project was to  potentially create collaborative curatorships, where, through the use of the application, it would be possible for the spectator-user to select and register works that would become part of the database of the Jawa application. The application was developed for Android and iOs operating systems and is public in the University Museum of Digital Arts of the Visual Arts program of the Universidad Nacional Abierta y a Distancia, space to which it is linked.
