7th Interzonal Research Conference – 4th International E-Research Conference “Ownership, knowledge transfer, and territorial transformation
The proceedings of the 7th Interzonal Research Conference and 4th International E-Research Conference, organized by Universidad Nacional Abierta y a Distancia (UNAD) in 2020, brought together a diverse set of lectures and posters structured into seven chapters by field of knowledge. The volume addresses the appropriation and transfer of knowledge as key drivers of territorial transformation, exploring experiences ranging from the creation of thermographic image databases for breast cancer screening to the design of electronic devices for monitoring medication adherence. In agricultural sciences, studies are presented on water quality using bioindicators, environmental education for children, and peasant production systems. In education, the volume reflects on curricular innovation, teaching methods in virtual environments, and the relationship between family and school life. The social sciences offer insights into collective memory, victims of armed conflict, and community leadership. Engineering showcases technological developments such as IoT systems for climate monitoring in avocado crops and RFID access control prototypes. Finally, administrative and legal sciences include analyses of business competitiveness, voter abstention, and university entrepreneurship. Together, the reports demonstrate a commitment to applied research, interdisciplinarity, and the link between academia and local communities.
