E-Media Presentations
The presentations compiled in "E-Media" address experiences of pedagogical innovation and technological mediations implemented at UNAD to strengthen teaching-learning processes in virtual environments. The papers present the use of simulators, mobile tools, collaborative platforms, multimedia resources, and digital accessibility strategies aimed at improving knowledge acquisition, student autonomy, and interaction in distance education contexts.
Among the highlighted experiences is the development of Virtual Learning Environments (VLE) for the Financial Planning course using the Storyline tool and SCORM objects, integrating theoretical content, practical activities, videos, games, assessments, and academic tracking into a single digital environment. The document also describes the design of a truth table simulator for the Mathematical Logic and Mathematical Logical Thinking courses, conceived as a teaching resource that facilitates the understanding of propositional calculus and the validation of arguments through interactive and self-directed learning processes.
The document also presents experiences focused on mobile and collaborative learning, such as the implementation of Pseudocode and GitLab in the Algorithms course, allowing students to develop programming skills using mobile devices and to strengthen collaborative work competencies through version control systems. Similarly, academic reinforcement workshops broadcast on YouTube are presented in the Matter and Energy Balance course, a strategy that contributed to increased course completion rates, reduced plagiarism, and greater student participation in educational activities.
Another key focus area is web inclusion and accessibility in UNAD's online courses, where institutional initiatives aligned with international accessibility standards, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and the Colombian standard NTC 5854 are described. These initiatives aim to ensure equitable access to digital educational resources through tailored technological tools and accessibility criteria applied to Virtual Learning Environments. In addition, business simulators and gamification strategies in administrative courses are highlighted, designed to strengthen decision-making, organizational analysis, and professional competencies in simulated business management contexts.
Together, these experiences reflect the strategic role of e-media and digital technologies as tools for educational transformation, promoting pedagogical models that are more flexible, interactive, inclusive, and centered on self-directed learning within open and distance education.
