The Proceedings of the 4th International Virtual Symposium on Philosophy and Education (2023) gather academic contributions of the Philosophy Degree Program at UNAD, in collaboration with research groups and allies, around the central theme "Amazement, doubt, crisis and hope in Philosophy and Education".

The event is conceived as a space for reflection, dialog and argumentation on contemporary problems that cross philosophical education and educational practices, organized along six thematic lines: (1) philosophy and education as academic disciplines, (2) anthropology of philosophy and education, (3) current alternatives in philosophy and education, (4) artificial intelligence in philosophy and education (including discussion of ChatGPT and its impact on teaching-learning), (5) ethical role of philosophy and education in algorithmic democracy, and (6) philosophy for children and inquiry.

Within this framework, the proceedings incorporate papers and presentations that analyze the relationship between education, democratic culture and technological mediations, highlighting challenges such as the ethical management of data, biases and human responsibility in the face of automated decisions, as well as the need to strengthen humanism and citizenship education in formative environments marked by digital transformations.
