Musical production based on ambient sounds from three emblematic sites in the city of Ibagué

This recording work is the result of a research and creation exercise based on the recording of the ambient sounds of three emblematic places in the city of Ibagué, which were used to make the compositions and later the musical production of each of the pieces.

The three sites chosen were Carrera Tercera (the city's pedestrian and commercial street), the Amina Melendro de Pulecio educational institution (Ibagué Conservatory) and the Combeima Canyon. The capture of the ambient sounds generated in these three sites was the primary input for the creation and production work; taking into account that the sites are contrasting with each other, different recording techniques were carried out, as well as the use of different technological tools for the post-production process, all in order to maintain the descriptive concept of the works. The Entornos recording work (Extended Play) is conformed by the following five tracks: Conservatorio de Ibagué:01 Intro, 02 Juego; Cañón del Combeima: 03 Inmensidad, 04 Sueño y Carrera 3ra: 05 Cambiante This EP mixes acoustic sounds of typical instruments of the Colombian Andean region, ambient sounds of the places, symphonic instruments and programmed sounds.
